It is a kind of support provided to the participants that aim to help you live independently as possible. It includes services such as:

A support worker will assist you in your care such as grooming and showering.
A support worker will assist you in your domestic tasks such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, and other housework.
Daily skills training.
Helps you with budgeting, managing money and grocery shopping.
Help you in getting public transportation.
Assist you in your appointments and community participation.

Where can I access Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

The NDIS SIL funding can be received while the participant is living in their own home. However, if the participant needs a higher level of support, it can be provided while living in a Specialist Disability Accommodation.

SIL can be received while the participants are living in shared accommodation and at the same time enjoying the company of others. In case, the participant decides to live in shared accommodation, the Gracious Ability Services will look for a shared accommodation that suits your needs and we will ensure that the property is well located, secured and that you will feel comfortable and supported.
